Deanna, originally from Mahwah, NJ, is a graduate of the Masters in Occupational Therapy program. She graduated in 2018 with a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science from The College of New Jersey. When Deanna graduates next year, she hopes to find a job working in a pediatric or outpatient setting; however, her ultimate goal is to become a certified hand therapist.
Luna Oliveira is a graduate of the Master’s in Occupational Therapy program at Washington University in Saint Louis. Luna was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where she lived until she relocated to Houston, TX and subsequently Saint Louis, MO. She graduated from the University of Saint Thomas in Houston, TX with a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Science. Before attending Washington University, Luna was an environmental scientist and then a teacher at a private school serving individuals with neurological differences across the lifespan. Luna taught the subjects of environmental science, gardening, theatre, and helped students create products that they could turn into entrepreneurship enterprises. Luna has also worked in professional theatre as a stage manager and is currently involved and passionate about adapting outdoor activities (such as climbing and hiking) for people of all ages.
Garrett went to the University of Missouri for his undergraduate degree. He graduated with honors with a BS in Biology. He is now a graduate of the Applied Health Behavior research masters program through Washington University School of Medicine. He plans on attending medical school after completion of this program. Garrett is from a small town in southeast Missouri called Monett. (Go Cubs!) He has also worked in patient care for 3 years. 2 of those years were in an Emergency Department and the other in an Urgent Care.
