Emma Rossow, BA

Emma Rossow is an OTD student in the WashU Medicine Program in Occupational Therapy. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a bachelor’s degree in psychological science and Spanish. Emma is passionate about addressing the gaps in the current U.S. health-care system. She is interested in finding solutions to the systemic problems health-care providers and clients face every day. Her areas of interest also include working with older adults and individuals with dementia. In her free time, Emma enjoys reading, eating delicious food and traveling.
Graduate Research Assistants
Brianna Grant, MAT
Brianna Grant is an OTD student in the WashU Medicine Program in Occupational Therapy. Briana is from Duvall, Wash., and holds an MAT in K-8 education from Queens University in Charlotte and a BA in art history from the University of Georgia. Brianna was an elementary teacher for 13 years before beginning her journey into occupational therapy and public health. When not doing schoolwork and keeping in touch with family, Brianna enjoys exploring art museums and theaters, walking her dog, and sewing.
Undergraduate Research Assistants
Brady Curtis
Brady is a first-year undergrad at WashU who is planning to major in neuroscience and public health. Brady is interested in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) research, including how the environment can be a support or a barrier for people with AD and factors that may contribute to AD.
Natalia Delgado
Natalia is a junior at WashU double-majoring in psychology and biochemistry. She is from the City of St. Louis, and in her free time, she loves listening to music and watching movies, as well as drawing and building things.
Mar Delgado Garcia
Mar is a sophomore at WashU who is majoring in psychology and minoring in Mandarin. Mar is working toward WashU Medicine OT’s 3-2 degree program and plans to earn an MSOT. Mar has done independent research on occupational therapy interventions for older adults with serious mental illnesses. In his free time, Mar loves going thrifting and exploring the city, especially checking out new restaurants.
Izzy Erdmann
Izzy is a WashU student from Clayton, Mo., right across from Danforth Campus. She is majoring in art history and data science with a minor in business of the arts. Izzy is passionate about data visualization and is excited to engage with the lab’s data and experiments. Outside of school, Izzy is on the WashU track and field team and loves journaling and exploring art museums.
Samyah Kennedy
Samyah is a senior at WashU who is majoring in biology and minoring in African American studies. She became interested in occupational therapy when she took an introduction to health professions course and was drawn to occupational therapy’s person-centered approach and emphasis on helping people engage in meaningful everyday activities.
